Beacon Bingo

Beacon Bingo, The Old Cinema, Baxter Gate, 37-40 Churchgate, Loughborough, Leicestershire, 2016 • Thank goodness for bingo halls keeping all these old art deco cinemas alive. This one has a carefully crafted photographic entrance panel designed to align with the tiled stripes, albeit suggesting a rip in the space-time continuum (which maybe it is). Pity about their incredibly horrible logo, though. And note tiny almost-centred burglar alarm at top.

  1. Apparently an Odeon Cinema built in 1936 but a Bingo hall from 1974. A Grade II listed building. Lovely architecture.
