Wildt Mellor Bromley (Roti House)

Wildt Mellor Bromley (Roti House), c.431 St. Saviours Road, Leicester LE5, 2016 • Imposing deco edifice that was once home to one of the world’s largest knitting machine manufacturers, which hit hard times in the 1970s. It’s now largely derelict, and utterly flagless, though still with a grand lobby inside – there are some urbex photos here. There was a plan circa 2012 to convert it to flats for the elderly, but that seems to have stalled.
