Golden Horse, Weekes, 178 Fawcett Road, Southsea, City of Portsmouth, 2016 • Fantastical handcrafted takeaway next to unit with 1950s-looking ghost sign. There was a garage elsewhere in Southsea called Weekes & Sons, so maybe this was related. The restaurant is not on Tripadvisor, but a Google review says it’s been there for 30 years.

I’ve just stumbled on this blog (amazing) – if you haven’t been, you would be in heaven going to Kolkata, India, where the shops are like little caves in the walls, so brightly coloured, crammed with things inside. I wish I could describe it better, but it would be amazing on here!!
