Jacobean Corsetry

Jacobean Corsetry, 53 Virginia Street, Merchant City, Glasgow G1, Scotland, 2010 • Giant golden ghost sign from a corsetry firm founded in 1946, whose wares have featured in Jack Vettriano paintings. Sales went into decline in late 1980s as Lycra took over, and the business closed in 2000. The famous sign was retained, and the 1817 edifice it’s attached to was renamed, in its honour, the Jacobean Building. There’s the full story here.
