Dane, JP Filtration Ltd

Dane, JP Filtration Ltd, 133-135 High Street, Stratford, Borough of Newham, London E15, 2007 • Doggy tiled ghost sign (incorporating graffiti fart) from an ink company specialising in fluorescents, which left Stratford in 2005 (history here.) There’s a shadow where the letters DANE came off, and some philistine has scrawled the giant word “Ghana” on the pooch. At time of photographing, this industrial estate was used by film and art studios, but has since had an Olympics-inspired redevelopment, which – hoorah – cleaned and kept the great dane mural.
