Rainbow, Kababish, 1161, 1163 Govan Road, Govan, Glasgow G51, Scotland, 2010 • Colourful and quirky frontages punctuating Govan’s endless grubby redstone, part of a Creative Shop Fronts Project by local improvement scheme LUV (Linthouse Urban Village). Although Rainbow later became plasticky yellow Happy’s House, there is still an ongoing initiative to improve Govan’s townscape and reinstate traditional shopfronts in what was once a prosperous shopping area.
