Reviews could best be described as mixed. ‘Faded and saddened by grease and neglect’, says London Review of Breakfasts. Meanwhile London Review of Sandwiches has a great photo of a handwritten ‘polite notice’ asking customers not to comb their hair on the premises, as ‘hair is not on our menu’. Perhaps it was the same person who inscribed the gradually narrowing list of dishes on the window blackboard.
