Softys, 68b Bridge Street, Bolton, Lancashire, 2010 • Its full name was once Softys’ Hard Stuff (sic), but part has fallen off – see the full sign on Flickr, taken in 2007 when the shop looked more striking. The name was also used by Peter Kay in his 2000 TV show ‘That Peter Kay Thing’, as reported here. Now gone; Google Street View shows an empty unit.
