Brilliant Neon Ltd., above Best-One, 218 Earls Court Road, B orough of Kensington and Chelsea, London SW5, 2010 • Tiny reminder of a long-gone fascia, still hanging on above a minimart. It’s a legacy of Shepherds Bush-based Brilliant Signs, once a hugely successful manufacturer of shop facades and fittings, founded 1888 and closed in the 1970s. There’s a history here (Signs of Brilliance, p6) and a recent incarnation at www.brilliantsigns.co.uk.
Love this, a great piece of signage history. Have shared with the current proprietors of the Brilliant Sign Company.
Great, thanks Sam!
There’s another one above a shop in South End, Croydon – saw it tonight and found your website as a result.
Thanks for the info! Probably various others lurking around, too.
Having been an Apprentice with this company on leaving school this brings back very fond memories thank you
