Broadway Market

Broadway Market, 42 Tooting High Street, Borough of Wandsworth, London SW17, 2006 • A hotspot for tattoos and “Kenkey” (whatever that is), this opened in 1936, and proclaims itself South London’s biggest indoor market, though you wouldn’t guess it from the outside.  Still much the same today but with a new black entrance sign derided by an angry young local as a “cheap shoddy facelift”. At least they’ve kept the excellent wall sign.
