The Winding House Tea Rooms

The Winding House Tea Rooms, Bridgnorth Cliff Railway, Bridgnorth, Shropshire, 2014 • Cute but closed tea-room with amazing funicular attached (England’s oldest and steepest, opened 1892). There’s a gallery of images of the funicular at the bottom of the page – it’s not exactly a shopfront but it’s such an atmospheric old place it seemed worth sharing. Bridgnorth is brilliant for a day trip, I thoroughly recommend it – although maybe not on such a stormy day as my visit.
