Samuel Ironmongers Ltd, 418 Edgware Road, City of Westminster, London W2, 2003 • One of my favourite-ever finds, a sad but splendid old hardware shop, once deserving of a double awning and emphasis dots around the tiny “Ltd”. Situated in a surprisingly ramshackle and random part of the West End, the premises later became, bizarrely, a shooting range.
