Ex-Franklin Barnes

Ex-Franklin Barnes, 12 Bridge Street, Hereford, Herefordshire, 2008 1930s “streamline moderne” facade that looks like an ex-cinema, but was originally Franklin Barnes & Co Ltd, a farm and garden supplies emporium. In more recent times it housed The Crystal Rooms, a noted 1990s dance club. When I photographed this, I assumed it was being demolished; but the facade was listed, so it’s been retained – somewhat gracelessly – in the redevelopment.
